No prices or devices: How 4 utilities tapped their AMI deployment to reduce peak demand up to 5%

No prices or devices How 4 utilities tapped their AMI deployment to reduce peak demand up to 5%

Today less than 5 percent of U.S. homes participate in demand response programs. How can utilities engage the other 95 percent of their customer base to unlock peak reduction that is reliable and cost effective?

This past summer 4 utilities across the country deployed Behavioral Demand Response (BDR), a solution that leverages existing AMI infrastructure, big data analytics, real time communication and behavioral science, to deliver cost effective peak reduction when it really counts. Deployed without a price signal or device, BDR unlocks the value hidden on the customer side of every single smart meter.

Join Jim Merriam, Director at Efficiency Vermont, Alex Kinnier, Opower's SVP of Product and Alexandra Liptsey-Rahe, BDR Product Manager at Opower as they explain how BDR programs delivered up to 5 percent reduction in peak load this summer across 1 million homes. In this webinar, you'll learn:

- How data analytics, behavioral science, and personalized communication can unlock new energy resources beyond the meter
- How BDR delivers both reliable peak savings and higher customer satisfaction
- How an integrated DR portfolio can help you reach deeper into your service territory and get the most out of your own programs

If you're a utility executive or someone with a stake in demand-side management, demand response, or AMI, this webinar is for you.
