ARLINGTON, Va. – Nov. 17, 2011 – Opower, the energy efficiency software company, today announced that Thomas Kramer has been appointed as the company’s chief financial officer. Mr. Kramer is a widely recognized industry leader, and was recently named one of the top 10 CFOs in Washington, DC by SmartCEO Magazine. He will help lead Opower as it continues its rapid growth, having recently doubled its headcount and expanded its business internationally.

Mr. Kramer was previously the CFO of Cvent, the largest event management technology company in the U.S. where he led the company’s Finance, Strategy and Administrative divisions from the company’s beginning. Prior to Cvent, Mr. Kramer worked as a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group and as a Senior Consultant at Accenture. He received his MBA in Strategy and Finance from Harvard Business School, and graduated Cum Laude from the Norwegian School of Economics with an MS in Economics.
